IAP  aims to addressing  the needs of  Energy and Mines sector, in the field of specialisation training, development, recycling and applied research in all Hydrocarbons as regards formation of specialization, improvement, of recycling and industrial research, all disciplines. The Institute provides operational training of international standard in line with the needs of the Energy and Mines sector.

The main missions of  IAP are :

1. The organization and implementation of specialised training and diploma courses ( Operators, Supervisors, Technicians, Senior Technicians, Appplication Engineers, Specialised Engineers and Postgraduates) in the various fields  of  the Energy and Mines Sector,
2. The  provisionof services (Studies, Analyses and Expertise),
3. The development of scientific and technical documentation,
4. The involvement in mastering the technological development of  applied research in the Energy and Mines Sector,
   
5. The setting up, development and promotion of  Distance Learning,
6. Undertaking the memory of the Energy and Mining Sector  by setting  a  structure devoted to “Completed Projects”.
